Learners locate and print samples of two different business letter formats. They write rough drafts of business letters inquiring when, where, and how math is used.

Students explain how to solve an algebraic word problem using correct grammar and punctuation.  In this math and writing lesson, students are given a word problem and must write down  directions to solve it. 

Third graders measure the speed at which they can walk in order to understand speed and distance traveled. They then research the history of transportation and express data in a class timeline.

First graders complete their morning work. In this math and editing lesson, 1st graders complete addition and subtraction problems, edit sentences and share their answers. Students can also create math problems of their own.
