Students examine the needs for products and services for the aging. In this entrepreneur instructional activity, students compare and contrast the age distribution of different countries and the needs of this population.

Students listen to the teacher read a book and participate with guided questions. They discuss patterns and how they repeat, by looking at quilts. They design their own quilt block to create a class quilt.

Eighth graders study the cultural and architectural history of San Diego. After study they create a design of a home based of features from historical and modern homes found in their research.
