Young scholars examine how flowers have essentially four parts. They learn both the male and female reproductive parts of the flower, then explore self-pollination and pollination by insects and other animals.

Students examine how solar energy is absorbed and used.  In this solar energy lesson students complete several activities that allow them to better understand solar energy. 

Students determine if brine shrimp eggs hatch and develop more readily in an environment which has an acid or a basic pH. They evaluate the pH level which is optimal for the hatching and development of brine shrimp.
