After collecting carbon dioxide bubbles from a cup of club soda, learners attempt to make their own lemon soda while preventing the loss of carbonation. They do so by creating a syrup before mixing the substances into the club soda. Don't let the fact that the lesson plan refers to the substances as objects keep you away; it is still a flavorful lesson on the solubility of gases, appropriate for your upper elementary physical scientists.
