A Lesson in Symmetry

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Students fold paper in half. They then draw a picture on one half of the page. Students then go over the outline of the picture with black crayon. The teacher then uses a warm iron , and folding the paper again, presses iron on paper. This melts their drawing to the other side of the paper making an exact copy of what they have drawn. Students trace over the "print" with a black crayon and paint their drawings with water color.
