Aaaaa! The Letter A!

Students study the short a vowel in written and spoken words by saying "Aaaa" while examining the way the mouth moves when making the sound. They recite a tongue twister emphasizing the /a/, listen for the sound in a list of words, and find /a/ word in a book that they read to themselves. As an assessment, the complete a worksheet.
