Used as a follow-up lesson plan after reading the novel and viewing the entire video of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, students will analyze the opening title credits which show the cigar box and its contents which Jem and Scout have found in the knothole of the tree. Students will participate in large or small group discussion, interpret the significance of the film sequence, and write a grammatically correct essay based on the discussion.
