Alex: Beanie Baby Habitats Collaborative Project

Curated by ACT

With the booming market of "Beanie Baby" type stuffed animals being so prominent in students' lives, this project brings that interest into the classroom through the use of research, science, hands-on experiences, and technology. The project includes research of living things and habitats through various resources including textbookss, trade books, encyclopedias, and the Internet. It also includes a hands-on project where students design and create a habitat for a chosen living thing. Students will work collaboratively in the classroom and use communication skills to share information with another classroom using distance learning capabilities throughout the project.
