A fun slide show which illustrates different size bugs hitting car windshields. Your junior highers should be amused while they learn the relationships between mass, velocity, and force of an impact. Scientific terminology is used, but it might work to use this as an introduction before the students are distracted by exact definitions. The basics are covered here and will make more sense if the analogy can be repeatedly referred to in following lessons.
