Art study of the Cinderella story
Second graders work in groups of five. They are each given a version of Cinderella and the accompanying book. Students re-read the book and become familiar with it. They are given materials such as: Tempera paint, Paint brushes, paper, water, paper towel, and newspaper. Students create a five-part re-telling of their story. They pretend they are illustrators for the publishing company.
