Balloon Dance

Young learners love creative movement. Here is a instructional activity that allows them to imitate balloons floating away by doing a "Balloon Dance." They start on the ground as if they are flat balloons with no air in them. The music starts, and they begin to inflate. A breeze comes up and kids begin to "float away." When the music begins to fade away, they float back down to Earth. This cute idea is based on the Arthur epidsode: "Arthur's Lost Dog."

Lesson Planet is a quick, simple way to find lessons or great ideas for them! I teach 8th, 9th, and 12th grade math so this resource is great across grade levels! I love it!
