Basic Needs of Living Things-Lesson One

Fourth graders explore the basic needs of living things. They observe a variety of living things and identify the basic needs of each living item. Students create food balls of peanut butter and nuts to feed animals. They hang their food balls in a "safe" place and in an unusual habitat. Students record their observations.

What Members Say

Lori S.
It helps to focus subjects so there is not too much information. It helps to organize and quantify what you have taught and what you need more work on. Putting together a lesson is an easy task. However, putting together hundreds can be daunting. This is probably the best aspect of Lesson Planet, my students don't get bored!
