Your class will be very interested in the results of this activity. How long does it take a MP3 and video game player to charge?  Sam only has an hour and the MP3 player only has 40% of its battery life left. Plus, his video player is new. It is up to your electronic wizards to figure out what percent of the batteries will be charged when he leaves on his car trip. The resource makes for a good group exercise because not everyone will come up with the answer in the same way, which aligns well with the content standard. Make sure your charges understand that the rate of change is a unit rate.
