Bee Smart Bee Happy

Here is a wonderfully designed lesson plan on bees and pollination designed for early elementary learners. After a class discussion on bees, pupils pretend to be a bee by picking up nectar off of "flowers" in the class. The flowers are actually pieces of colored chalk, and the kids have cotton balls that act as collectors. There is a terrific worksheet/assessment embedded in the plan as well as a letter to parents announcing the unit of study.
