Ben Franklin Timeline

Celebrate inventions such as lightning rods, bifocals, and stoves with a Ben Franklin Day. Young historians conduct research and write a paragraph about an accomplishment of Benjamin Franklin including an illustration or collage that depicts the event described in their paragraph. The class then works together to create a giant Benjamin Franklin timeline. Adaptations are suggested for working with younger or older grades, including a possible poetry extension.
