In this instructional activity, students examine the life cycle of the butterfly. Students look at pictures of the life cycle of the butterfly in pictures and on the computer. Students listen to the teacher read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and see each of the stages of the butterfly. Students further their understanding of the butterfly life cycles by cutting out butterflies and placing them in the correct order.
