CD Bulletin Board Wreath

Learners create a bulletin board display of a Christmas tree out of painted CDs.

Learners createChristmas ornaments. In this art activity, students use clothespins, ribbon, cloth, popsicle sticks and other art supplies to create  Christmas ornaments.

Students cover a snowman with cotton balls to count down the days to Christmas vacation.

Third graders take a survey of friends' and family members' favorite Christmas carols. They illustrate a favorite Christmas carol and have students try to guess the name of the carol based on the picture.

Students study about senses by taking a walking field trip, creating a word bank, reading a story and singing a song.

Students create foam ornaments and/or miniature trees using fun foam, glue, buttons, rick rack or pasta, and gold string in this early-elementary school Art lesson. Suggested adaptations for younger and older students are provided.

Study African American inventor Jan Ernst Matzeliger and create imaginary monsters using texture.
