Introduce your class to the Core Democratic Values. The lesson focuses on defining the Core Democratic Values and related terms. Small groups look up terms and present a song based on the information they've found. After the presentation, make a list of all the terms. More explanation of how to compose the songs could be included. The values, along with definitions and a rubric, are provided in English and Spanish in the handouts section of the plan.
