Chinese, Japanese, & Korean Immigration to the U. S.

Students study immigration of people from Southeast Asian countries to the United States. Pupils create maps and geographically illustrate the immigration. Using the internet, students research an assigned topic. They write an essay or newspaper article explaining their opinion and its supporting facts. They present their findings to the class. The class observes a video entitled "Picture Bride."

Jonathan M.
When I am trying to find an alternative lesson from my norm, I try Lesson Planet, and always find a lesson that I can use. Sometimes a different perspective from a colleague can be that "point" that will work for that concept. I really feel that Lesson Planet is very well organized and easy to use. Thank you so much Lesson Planet for your help in my classroom.
