Civil Rights and Casualties of Wartime

Do your historians fully grasp the consequences of being at war? Help them connect past with present through this group research activity, which has high schoolers analysing repercussions suffered by citizens of countries in conflict. Students research from a list of wars (needs updating), and consider possible consequences of current conflicts in which the U.S. is involved. Although the U.S. is at war in the Middle East, consider having groups analyze a less obvious country.

Ryan L.
Lesson Planet has helped me dramatically, giving me instant access to so many lessons, worksheets and rich ideas. It has helped me to continue to deliver high interest instruction to students with cross categorical special needs in high school inclusive settings, which is no simple matter. Due to the ease, quickness and richness of the materials on this site, my life as a first year teacher has been made infinitely better to say the least.
