Class Book Awards

Students study the criteria used to select notable book awards, including the Caldecott Medal and the Newbery Medal. Then they develop their own Class Book Awards to bestow upon favorite books in the classroom library. They decide on different award categories each month and nominate books they believe are worthy of receiving Class Book Awards.

Reginald W.
I was at a crossroads trying to think of a new… interesting… active way to introduce and teach the different types of economic systems. I turned to Lesson Planet and entered “Economic Systems” into the search tab and was inundated with resources and lesson plans and ideas… the kids loved the lesson I modified for them and still ask when we are going to do another lesson like that “Paper Airplane Company” one. Thanks Lesson Planet.
