College and High School Course Assignment Planner

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

When learners begin to take more than one course at a time, it can be hard to stay organized. Help them out with a blank assignment planner template, which provides space for the course name and meeting times, as well as 25 spaces to list assignments. Two columns allow kids to note due dates and whether they have completed each assignment.

Instructional Ideas

  • Have a blank set of planners in the front of your classroom, available for kids to take as they need
  • Fill out a planner with upcoming assignments and study reminders, copy the list, and hand out to kids to help them stay organized
  • Prompt kids to keep one of the planners in the front of their main binder, or one for each binder for each class they are taking
  • Use in conjunction with a class calendar or syllabus
  • Blow up and laminate a copy of the planner to use in your class as a poster, updating the assignments with dry erase marker

Classroom Considerations

  • Planner is based on a single course, but you could modify it to work with separate subjects in elementary classes if necessary

Pros

  • Blank planner is versatile for any level of secondary or post-secondary course
  • Encourages learners to keep track of their assignments and due dates

Cons

  • None
