Students present tableaus showing scenes from The Memory Coat, a book about immigration. In this tableau instructional activity, students examine the cover of the book and make predictions about what is happening and who the people are. They create tableaus of scenes from the book in which characters are interviewed. They determine who the characters are and what they are doing. They use the information from the tableaus to add to a class web about immigration.
