Fourth graders complete a KWHL chart to compare and contrast the lives of children in Colorado in the 1800s and in the present day. They brainstorm about their lives in the present day and use the internet to research the lives of students in Colorado in the 19th century. At the conclusion of their research, they fill in the "L" portion of their chart.
