Instructional Ideas

  • After kids have finished matching the words, invite them to use the words in sentences, either orally or by writing them down
  • Scaffold the activity even more by playing as a class before sending kids off to practice in small groups or centers

Classroom Considerations

  • In the second and third levels, there are some other new compound words that can be created, and you will need to decide if these are also included in the game

Pros

  • Includes three different levels that get increasingly more difficult so that you can easily scaffold the game
  • Instructions for how to play with the word part cards are provided on the first page of the resource

Cons

  • None
