Crash Course Literature #305: Lord of the Flies

This video focuses on William Golding and his novel Lord of the Flies. This week, John is talking about one of his least favorite novels, The Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Lord of the Flies is a novel of ideas, and John doesn't agree with the central idea of the novel, which diminished his enjoyment of the book. The central idea of the book is that everyone has evil in their hearts, which we don't necessarily agree with. That said, it's a good read, and worth reading. [11:54]
