Instructional Ideas

  • Offer this as a final project during a life science unit on invertebrates
  • Allow students the option of creating physical models of their invertebrates rather than drawings
  • Have a gallery walk with the class's finished work, having students leave positive feedback about each others' work on sticky notes

Classroom Considerations

  • This project can be completed in-class, at home, or a combination of the two; whatever best fits your class schedule

Pros

  • Includes a teacher example that demonstrates the final product students will be creating
  • A teacher's guide is included that offers definitions of key vocabulary and a list of necessary materials

Cons

  • None
