Chemsitry aces learn that protons are located in the nucleus and the number of protons in the nucleus determines the atomic number of an element. In this instructional activity, they compare materials made up of a single element and other materials which have a difference of only one proton in their atomic nucleus. You can use this when introducing elements or comparing properties.
