The BC (Before COVID) and AC (After COVID) classrooms differ. Instructors must reestablish protocols and opening and closing routines with learners who are no longer used to in-person learning. The second routine in the series designed to help teachers face this challenge has participants create emojis that represent how they are feeling. They then complete a quick write that explains why they chose that emoji. Finally, the class brainstorms strategies or a list of words of encouragement that they could use to help peers who are not feeling optimistic.
