Explorations of Lewis and Clark

Students research the Louisiana Purchase. Groups of students are given the choice of topic for a creative project. Pretending to be Lewis and Clark, students write a report to President Jefferson describing their expedition. Other groups simulate being a member of the Corps of Discovery. They write a report to President Jefferson assessing the leadership of Lewis and Clark.

Lesson Planet provides plans that are a snap to personalize or utilize as is. Providing rigor and relevance the lessons are an excellent resource. I highly recommend LP for both the new teacher and the well seasoned pedagogue.
