Young scholars practice becoming fluent readers with expression by decoding words, rereading and timed readings. They read and reread the poems,"The Star," by Jane Taylor and "Bed in Summer," by Robert Louis Stevenson. Each student encounters assistance from two sentence strips and a stopwatch.
