First Ladies as Activists

Learners choose a First Lady of the 20th century to research. Using both print and non-print sources, they identify the cause to which their First Lady gave her name, time, and energy. After researching, they right a press release identifying the cause and the First Lady's involvement and the necessity of the cause keeping within the context of that time period.

Lesson Planet has helped me find lessons that add to my curriculum. It is also a great website to use when one needs to search for certain topics and how to introduce those topics, it also gives a lot of options for varied learners.
