Franklin Says "I Love You" Lesson Plan

Learners listen to the story Franklin Says I Love You by Paulette Bourgeois in order to discuss the meaning of the story and to focus on the concepts of love, kindness, and giving. In this lesson plan on manners, students discuss Franklin's actions in the story, and then why saying "I Love You" to someone special is important. As a class, learners describe people that they love and why; students then create a gift certificate to present to a family member that they love.
