Learners write friendly letters. In this very basic writing lesson, 2nd grade students engage in a class discussion about the elements necessary for a friendly letter to be properly written. In follow-up lessons, learners write their friendly letters to a pen-pal as a way of introducing themselves. A blackline master in the shape of a person is embedded in the plan.
