Geometric Mean and the Pythagorean Theorem

In this geometric mean and the Pythagorean Theorem worksheet, 10th graders solve 16 different problems that determine the geometric mean of numbers by applying the Pythagorean Theorem. First, they find the geometric mean between each pair of numbers and then, find the values of x and y in each triangle. Then, students determine if the given measures are measures of the sides of a right triangle.
