Grade 12 ELA Module 1: Unit 1, Lesson 27

Using their notes developed over the course of the unit, class members prepare for the end of the unit assessment writing of a formal essay in which they "analyze how the author of The Autobiography of Malcolm X provides a conclusion that follows from and reflects on what is experienced, observed, or resolved over the course of the narrative." Writers review the format of a formal essay and examine the rubric that will be used to assess their essay.
