Healthy Relationships: Grades 6-8

Help middle schoolers develop healthy relationships with a series of activities that teaches them not only to recognize and protect themselves from unhealthy relationships, but also how to develop and maintain positive ones. In addition, class members generate a list of the rights and responsibilities all people have in relationships.

  • Research the support services available on campus and in the community; post and point out information about these services 
  • After reading the articles, have class members create a T-chart listing signs of both healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • Generate another list of ways to get help

  • Requires red construction paper for red flags
  • Individual copies of three worksheets are also required
  • Monitor for and report signs of suspected abuse
