Students explore the importance of soup kitchens. In this philanthropy lesson, students brainstorm ways they can be philanthropists. Students watch a puppet show about a young girl who doesn't have enough to eat at home and has to go to a soup kitchen. Students then participate in a variety of centers focused on soup kitchens. As a final project students can assemble dried soup.

I am a special eduction teacher at a High School in Texas. I teach 45 subjects in 7 periods. Without Lesson Planet, I would drown just in the preparation. Thanks Lesson Planet.
