The BBC production on memory continues in part three. Picking up right after the connection between forming memories and ruminating on the future, we follow John and his inability to mentally "time travel." Memory gives you more than just the power of abstract thought; it also gives you the power to plan. This distinguishes us from other animals. Look at research that is also focusing on diminishing painful memories. This video is great for a psychology, biology, or physiology class.
