Immigration in the United States

Young scholars examine the reasons why people leave their country to live in another. In groups, they use print and electronic resources to answer questions about where immigrants came from during different time periods and advice given to African Americans. To end the lesson, they calculate the distances to America from various European and Asian countries.

Marina L.
I work with students that range from year 1 to year 12, approx 30 with various Special Needs and ESL. Because of the range in year levels and subjects covered it is impossible to find time to make my own resources for many of the lessons. Lesson Planet has become a reliable source to gain information and ideas.
