Irregular Verbs

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Divided into two 10-question exercises, this instructional activity provides practice with irregular verbs in the simple past tense. Ten present-tense, monosyllabic verbs are given in a word bank; learners write the past tense form in a blank in each sentence so it makes sense. The second section has the same 10 verbs in the word bank as the first, but the sentences are different. Use them as tickets-out-the-door two days running, for review on different days, or as versions one and two of a quiz.
