Students examine the connotations associated with names while determining what put-downs and put-ups are. They work as a group to find out what each person's name means to them. While studying put-ups and put-down they describe the feelings that are associated with each. They focus on using names for others in the class that make them feel good by completing a T-chart and worksheet.
