Jamestown Fort: Finding History

Students identify artifacts discovered from the exploration of the Jamestown fort in order to help them create a short fictional account about the lives of Jamestown's first inhabitants. In this history instructional activity, students research the founding date of Jamestown, artifacts that have been recovered from the sight, and the design of the town. Students apply this knowledge of the Jamestown colony by authoring a historic account of life in Jamestown.

Sabrina F.
I have been able to find a variety of resources to meet a variety of needs. As a special ed teacher I need to continually find new ways of presenting the material and Lesson Planet always has many great ideas that have worked wonderfully in my classroom. It's especially great when I need to make a last minute change to a lesson!
