Kate and the Beanstalk Lesson Plan

Learners read the story Kate and the Beanstalk in order to compare and contrast this fractured tale to the original fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. In this fairy tale reading instructional activity, students first discuss the plots of many original fairy tales. After listening to the stories, learners make lists of three ways each twisted tale is similar and different to the original. Using what they have learned, students then create their own fractured fairy tales.

I've been playing around in the account all morning and I have to say I'm very impressed! The site is amazing! I'm also a Title I tutor (and a summer tutor) so this will help me out a TON when coming up with materials for my students both during Title I tutoring and summer tutoring! The amount of time Lesson Planet will save me is going to be mind blowing!
