Lab Tests, Results, and Sulfuric Acid

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

You may want to change the title of this chemistry PowerPoint to "Identifying Compounds in the Laboratory." Individual slides explain tests that can be performed to confirm what element you have: carbon dioxide, carbonates, and metal ions. Flame tests and different precipitates are explained. Demonstrate each test as you progress through the slides, or better yet, have your chemists perform each test in the lab afterwards!
