A brief explanation of the preterite tense and of its regular conjugations introduces a variety of exercises that practice each type of conjugation -ar, -er, and -ir. Endings are first matched to pronouns, and then gap-fill exercises provide verb conjugation practice. One exercise matches vocabulary that deal with time expressions commonly used with the preterite tense. The final exercise in this series is a crossword puzzle that reviews all three of the regular conjugations. Though some stem-changing verbs are conjugated, only the regular forms are solicited in these exercises. The "vosotros" form is also required. A great way for students to practice the regular conjugations of the preterite tense. Answers may be verified after each quiz. Tutorials in other langauges available from the homepage.
