First graders explore two animated outdoor scenes at the Elmo's Road Trip Web site, link included. Students compare and contrast the two scenes by writing sentences on sentence strips. Finally, 1st graders create a class mural of the two scenes and place their sentence strips in the appropriate places on the mural.
