Number Addition Race

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Practice basic addition facts and measuring skills. In this addition and measurement lesson plan, young scholars are provided with drywall tape and work in groups of four at a long table. Partners take turns generating addends and marking the matching number of centimeters on the tape. As each problem is solved, tape is cut and added to a line running the length of the table. The partners that reach the end of the table first are the winners.
