Solids, Liquids, and Gases

Students explore solids, liquids, and gasses and categorize and describe the three states of matter. In this chemistry lesson plan, students categorize items as solid, liquid, or gas based on the definitions given by the teacher. Students guess the items in a mystery box after listening to the descriptions given by the teacher. Simple experiments with air and water are performed by the students to illustrate the attributes of the three states of matter.
