Students explore the Niagara Movement and the Declaration of Principles manifesto. After a class discussion on the societal norms during the 1900's, students role play a specific individual. During the simulation, students depict civil liberties, education, family, and religious movements. They compare and contrast societal norms of today with those during the 1900's.
